Ride Lonesome

Ben Brigade (Scott), a bounty hunter captures and escorts the outlaw Billy John (Best) to town to be hanged, but Billy John warns him that his brother Frank (Van Cleef) will be on his way to stop him. On their way  to Santa Cruz, he rescues a woman (Steele), and picks up a pair of gumen (Roberts and Coburn) who are more interested the the reward being offered for Billy John.

Westbound review

In 1864 Cavalry Captain John Hayes (Scott) is ordered to leave the war and become a civilian boss of the Overland Stage Line, running the lines that carry gold from California for the war effort. But once he arrives in town he encounters resistance from Southern sympathizers who are out to destory the line, led by Clay Putnam (Andrew Duggan), who was once friend to Hayes but is now married to his former love (Mayo).

Decision at Sundown Review

Randolph Scott plays Bart Allison, an angry man who is informed by his partner Sam (Noah Beery Jr.) that Tate Kimbrough is about to get married in a town named Sundown. Bart goes to the ceremony and objects, leading to several standoffs with the sheriff and his deputies (who are in Kimbrough’s pocket) while the truth about why Bart is there is slowly revealed, feuds are resolved, and Bart is still drunk and pissed off.
